"Top Gear" is a TV series based in the UK. The original program was hosted by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, & James May. After an altercation, Clarkson was fired from the show by the BBC. The other hosts decided to leave the program as well.
Each week the guys tested cool super cars, interviewed celebrities, discussed the latest car news, and completed a crazy challenge set forth by the producers.
Some of the challenges ranged from modifying a pick up truck into a boat to being the first people to drive to the North Pole. Each challenge causes hilarious situations to arise. In many of the challenges, the guys mess with each others cars, such as Clarkson and Hammond repeatedly rear ending May's vehicle or rewiring car components.
The other star of the show is an unknown racing driver named "The Stig". When appearing on the show, The Stig never shows his face and never speaks. Each episode, the Stig takes a super car around the Top Gear test track and the lap time is recorded on the lap board. Each lap segment is introduced by telling the audience a fact about the Stig as seen on the Stig Quotes page.
Each episode a celebrity comes on the show to discuss their car history and take a lap around the Top Gear test track in a reasonably priced car. The lap times of the guests are also recorded to showcase the fastest celebrity. Some of the record holders include the likes of Tom Cruise and Simon Cowell.
